What are our guests saying about us?

Love This Place!

My husband and I were here last year and had such a fantastic three night stay that we had to come back again this year. We were thrilled to see how many improvements were made over the winter and in such a short span of time. We stayed on the third floor in the Maxwell Suite of which has a panoramic view of the Atlantic and the Harbor. Our room was freshly painted and newly decorated with flat screened tvs, coffee maker and lovely furnishings. Very tastefully done and much needed. Bed was so comfortable. When we arrived we were greeted with the aroma of freshly baked chockolate chip cookies (delish) and a friendly face! Fresh fruit and biscotti were available in the lobby along with coffee, tea and hot cocoa all day. The breakfast was just as yummy as it was last year - blueberry stuffed French toast and bacon, selection of homemade pasteries, fresh fruit and juice one day homemade quiches and the works another. Kristie helped us again this year with all dinning reservations as well as new places to visit. Thank you for a fantastic stay and congratulations on the renovation with all the special little touches! See you again for Gardens Aglow! - jptreehugger57 from Boston

Fourth Time

This was our fourth time staying at the Harbor House Inn in Boothbay Harbor Maine. The former owners, Tom and Monica, always were very accommodating and gracious. When we heard that a new owner had purchased the inn we were a little apprehensive. Our trepidations were soon eliminated after we met Kristie. She is excellent innkeeper from a family of innkeepers. She made us feel like we were the only guests staying at the inn. She also made many cosmetic and structural changes to the building without changing its historic importance, in fact removing some modern elements and coverups reveal the look of the house as it was built in the 1800s. Of course, we plan to stay again and are looking forward to see the improvements she will be making to the house. - Leo R from Massachusetts

What a gem!

Kristie is an incredible hostess! She is friendly, accommodating but not intrusive. It is obvious she loves what she does and she is a genuinely excellent innkeeper. We planned to stay elsewhere for our weekend at Boothbay but we had to change our plans last minute and Kristie was so accommodating and generous. The house is incredible, our rooms were beautifully decorated and generously sized, with private bathrooms, beautiful views of the bay and the town, and an easy walk into downtown Boothbay. She puts out homemade cookies in the evening and does an delicious breakfast! I will definitely book all future trips with her! Thank you Kristie! - Elizabeth C

Pleasant stay at Harbor House Inn

We stayed one night in the Captains quarters which was perfect for my husband, daughter and me. My brother and his partner stayed in the next room. The Inn is clean and beautifully decorated and the breakfast was abundant with pastries, fresh coffee, fruit, delicious quiche, and yummy sausage. We could easily walk to town but far enough away from the July 4th crowds. I highly recommend the Inn and the Inn Keeper gave us suggestions for dinner and a list of fun sights to see. - Lisa J from Rhode Island

So happy to have found this place!

We decided last-minute to head up to Boothbay Harbor and were lucky to get a room here (by the time we arrived, there were none available). It's rare that both my husband and I have zero complaints about a place, but Harbor House was perfect. It's been newly renovated, so the bedroom had the feel of everything being new - paint, bathroom, linens, window coverings. Large room with amazing view of the bay. 4 windows, so plenty of ventilation (plus an air conditioner if we'd wanted to use it). Keurig in the room (as well as a bigger one in the common area).

The owner was friendly, quick to offer info about the area and answer our questions. There was fruit out all day, plus pastries all morning long. The breakfast was delicious and freshly made for us when we came down. The deck was enormous and had a beautiful view. Just a short walk to a fun town to explore. - JoannaMyers28 from Massachusetts

Perfect Vacation for the Holidays!

What a warm and cozy stay we had at the Harbor House Inn over the Christmas Holidays. We met up with two other couples who also stayed at the Inn with us. When we arrived to check in we were greeted by the Innkeeper with freshly baked cookies and an assortment of hot chocolates, spiced cider and coffee. Kristie (the Innkeeper) gave us a wonderful tour of the beautiful historic Sea Captian's Inn. And as we were checking in we were able to catch the stunning red sunset! What a beautiful view from our room! Kristie was extremely helpful with dinner reservations and helping us navigate our way around town. Our room was very clean and beautifully decorated. The bed was very comfortable and the linens were top quality. We awoke to the smell of freshly brewed coffee and cinnamon rolls!! There were plenty of options for breakfast. I had an herbed egg quiche one day and Belguim waffle another with berries and fresh cream! Overall, this Inn was just a delight and will be back again very soon! - myabar123 from Hawaii
