The Historic Harbor House Inn has been a landmark in Boothbay Harbor for over 80 years by serving it's community as an Inn, a Coast Guard look out station, and a tea room. Our location is on top of Mckown Hill and was built in the early 1800's by Captian Mitchel Reed, master of the world's largest wooden sailing ship of it's day the "William C. Carnegie". Our Inn is the highest point in the harbor with direct views of the Atlantic Ocean, the Inner Harbor, and Mill Cove. Enjoy spectacular sunsets and glorious sunrises from our location. We are within walking distance of all harbor activities, including boating, shopping and seasonal festivals. We are centrally located to several lighthouses, hiking trails, pristine coastline and many unique outdoor excursions incuding sailing, kyaking, and whale watching to mention a few.
